Wauconda's remote location in the Okanogan Highlands of Washington state, at the northeastern corner of Okanogan County and close to the Ferry County line, gives our community the unique advantage to claim the best of both worlds. While Okanogan County claims us as one of their own hidden gems, we're so close to Ferry County that they like to claim us as kin as well.

With that understanding in mind, we'll try not to play favorites as we show you what our area has to offer visitors such as yourself.

While Okanogan County is the biggest in the state and has loads of events scheduled throughout the summer months, Ferry County offers you a chance to dig for fossils, ride an antique Carousel or tour a museum that was once a hotel that Henry Ford stayed at.

You might want to consider exploring the Okanogan Highlands Historic Loop Drive while you're in the area.
